Wow! Just logged in again after the holiday weekend and found some wonderful surprises. I’m enjoying reading all the sweet pro-love comments on the contest so much! Thank you! It’s just making my whole day today. Ya’ll rock! Keep it up! I did have to look up ‘osculation’ though. It means kissing. Who knew?

I’m working on the CD mix for the prize and you know, trying to find love songs that start with Q, X and Z is pretty interesting. Do you think U2’s Zoo Station is a love song? Or Lifehouse’s song Quasimodo? I’m thinking sure, what the hell, why not. *grin*

Also I’m a finalist in the Bitchin’ Mittens contest! Yessss! I’m so totally thrilled! And glad I’m not a judge because it would be really hard to choose the winners. There were so many great mittens entered.

And check out the winners of August’s Whiplash if you haven’t already. My favorite was the CorpGoth jacket. It’s absolutely fabulous! I wish I could sew like that. September’s Whiplash is hat month and there’s some great inspiration on the Whipup blog here and here. Hopefully I can put something together in time.

I love hats. I used to collect them when I was a kid, my favorites were a Sherlock Holmes deerstalker from England, a sailboat captain’s cap and a pith helmet. Yeah, true – remember back in the day when Banana Republic was still all about funky military surplus and not a Gap clone? I used to love their catalogs. I ventured into one of their stores again last spring and it was so depressing.

Anyway I have a couple Halloween costume hat ideas for the contest, just need to gather the materials and get to work on them.
