Just ordered the fall IC. It’s the only crochet magazine I’ve bought regularly in probably the last 10 years. I just don’t find things I really love in the usual crochet magazines. They all seem like clones of each other and a lot of them seem to print the same basic patterns over and over with tiny variations. It’s boring. And I’m picky, I admit. If I don’t absolutely love it I won’t buy the pattern.
This issue has two skirts I immediately fell in love with – Annie Modesitt’s Citrine Skirt (she’s one of my fave designers in knit or crochet!)

I like the orange but I’m thinking a deep dark red would be even better. I’m already imagining it with my Stevie Nicks boots. Ooooh. And then there’s Doris Chan’s Sapphire Stars Skirt which has my name all over it, seriously, there are probably people around here who’ll see this when it hits the newsstands, and think, hey, that skirt looks just like Heather. I’m such a skirtaholic.

I have a bunch of thread I can use for the gorgeous Patricia Pepe skirt I saw on Vera’s blog. I’m a little late for the crochetalong but I’d like to make the skirt anyway. And I will get back to some knitting eventually, really. I’m in a crochet phase lately but it’ll come around again.

Oh, the Annie M skirt is pretty cute! Did I mention that I knit with her last Wednesday evening? She was scoping out knitting groups in the Twin Cities, since apparently her family’s contemplating a move here.

Both skirts are really cute. As for the Patricia Pepe skirt, there’s no time limit. I want to finish it up so I can wear it Sunday.

Two beautiful skirts. I like the blue best.
