Forget those TLC home improvement show carpenters, my new crush is House, Hugh Laurie’s Holmesian MD. I don’t know what it is about brilliant misanthropes but I’m so in love I watched the whole freakin’ marathon yesterday on USA, seven hours worth. I’ve spent more time in front of the tube between this and last weekend’s horror-thon than I did all summer, hell, probably all year. I really need to get back outside. It’s the change of seasons, makes me want to hibernate.

I did get a lot of knitting, crocheting and housecleaning done while watching. I finished my flapper hat -  Stitch Diva Gatsby Hat - and will try to post photos in the next couple days. It was a fun pattern. And a co-worker gave me a gift this morning:

Looks like a fun book, can’t wait to get the chance to look more closely at the patterns.
