I’m still working on that knitted throw little sarong. Hopefully I can get some photos tonight. We’re getting snow today! Woo! In the meantime here’s a meme I thought would be fun.
Instructions: open your music library, set settings to “Shuffle” and play. Record each song in order with the category. Be amazed! astounded! at your mp3 player’s ability to perfectly represent you as a music-listening artist.Via fauxrealtho.
1. Opening Credits: Big Lie, Small World/Sting…..I was a ‘honeymoon baby.’ Or was I? Hmmm.
2. Childhood: The Energy Blues/Miz Markie….well it was during the 1970s energy crisis.
3. First Day of School: Don’t Follow/Alice in Chains….referring to the creepy guy we thought followed us to school?
4. Falling in Love: Say it Again/Santana….because I don’t believe you really love me! Eerily accurate song there.
5. Breaking Up: No Excuses/Alice in Chains….whatever. I don’t think this players shuffles very well.
6. Falling in Love Again: Dear Heather/Leonard Cohen….I did walk by him again, what can I say *wink*
7. Breaking Up Again: One of These Nights/The Eagles….eh, whatever.
8. Prom: Blue Moon/Libby Roderick…..didn’t go to prom.
9. Birth of Child: Just a Girl/No Doubt….yup, a daughter, a daughter with attitude just like the song.
10. Life Sucks: Lips Like Sugar/Seal featuring Mikey Dread…..lips that aren’t available unfortunately. Damn. Life does suck.
11. Life’s Okay: Traffic Boom/Pierro Piccioni….which is Bunny’s porn flick soundtrack in The Big Lebowski. I’ll leave the commentary on this one up to your imagination.
12. Mental Breakdown: The Difference/Colby Stead…..‘there’s a difference between love and tragedy’ he sings…pretty good song for this slot actually.
13. Driving Theme: The Stars Shine in the Sky Tonight/Eels….I’ll have to pop this in and drive to it, see if it works.
14. Flashback: Time Stood Still/Madonna….sure, sounds good.
15. High School Reunion: Hands of Time/Groove Armada. Nope, can’t turn back the hands of time. Thank the gods, because who really wants to go back there? Not me.
16. Commitment Ceremony: Sunshine on my Shoulders/Beat the Clock. Actually our song was Extreme’s More than Words. Maybe it would have lasted longer if we’d had this one.
17. Middle Age: A Thousand Years/Sting….eh, whatever.
18. Last Years: Sun Don’t Shine, Haley Bonar…Does this mean I’m not going to retire to Hawaii?! Or just that I’ll forget my sunscreen?
19. Funeral Song: Love is/Stevie Nicks. Ooh, I like it!
20. End Credits: La Rumba de Nicolas/The Gipsy Kings. Ah, that would be my secret Latin lover showing up for the reading of the will. Treat him well, ok? Because trust me, he deserves it all. Grazie.
