Ok folks, I’m starting a Crochet Carnival. As much as I love Yarnival and Craftival I think crochet deserves a blog carnival of its own. It’ll be an ongoing monthly carnival with submissions due the 1st day of each month. The carnival will be posted the 15th of each month. I’ll edit the first few until we get enough interested people to rotate editing.
**Edited to add: If you’re not familiar with blog carnivals – they’re sort like magazines. They’re a gathering of blog articles about a specific topic, published on a regular basis. Each edition is published in the form of a blog post with permalinks to each article. Sometimes there’s one person who hosts and edits every edition; often there’s a group of bloggers who take turns hosting/editing. The host will ask for submissions, gather them, and decide what to publish. **
If you’re a crochet blogger you can submit your entries here at BlogCarnival. You can also grab a button and link here.
So, wondering what to enter? How about your favorite blog entries about finished projects, works in progress, crocheting rants, crochet philosophy, articles about hooks and yarns, tutorials, crochet history, personal crochet stories, your creative process…..as long as it’s about crochet it’s submission material.
Woot! I’m excited! Get your crochet on and spread the word! It’s gonna be fun.

Hmm! I don’t even know what a Yarnival is! I guess I have some digging to do
It sounds good though, as I’ve started a huge ripple blanket and am trying to find a granny square I like enough to do a bunch of!

you and i have similar causes, by the way. Are you a psych student/psychologist? I’m a social worker, and work at a women’s shelter.
